Seethe - Plunder

"Plunder" by Seethe claws its way out of the shadows, with whispers of Deftones clinging to the guitar like smoke. Born in 2020 amid the pandemic, Seethe, led by 9 Stitch Method vocalist Patrick McElravy, amalgamates emotionally charged vocals reminiscent of early 00's Nu Metal with the distorted, electronic elements of Trap Metal artists like Ghostmane. Having shared stages with acts like King 810 and featured in the "Nu Metal: The Definitive Guide" publication alongside giants like Korn and Deftones, Seethe continues to carve its own unique path.

"Plunder" navigates a backward race, exploring the complexity of time and plundering moments. The lyrics, coupled with atmospheric instrumentals, create an immersive experience. This isn't just a song; it's a desperate plea. Falling "up," trapped in a loop of perpetual descent, the lyrics mirror the claustrophobic melody. "Seasons plunder;" time itself is a thief stealing sanity. Each chorus is a frantic "wake me up," a yearning to escape the suffocating weight of self-destruction.

As Seethe ventures into new alternative territory, "Plunder" showcases their evolution, twisting their nu-metal roots into a modern tapestry of anguish. It's a song that crawls under your skin, its hooks embedded like thorns; it's a promising addition to the upcoming "Good Mourning Wrath" EP alongside previously released singles "Feather," "Blood," and "Beneath."
