Premiere: Skies of Terra - Trinity

Skies of Terra's latest single, "Trinity," is a visceral plunge into the depths of mental struggle and self-reckoning, offering a gripping glimpse into the band's evolution and upcoming album, "Dreamcatcher." Scheduled for release on January 11th, this track reflects the band's shift in influences from their signature Deftones and Tool influences, to a blend of pop-punk and progressive metal.

The lyrics, penned by vocalist Euclides Polanco, resonate with brutal honesty. "Meteors crashing / Becoming one with the end of the times," he growls, painting a bleak picture of internal devastation. The desperate plea, "Will you be the one?" echoes throughout the song, searching for an anchor in the storm of self-doubt and despair.

But the emotional landscape of "Trinity" is not solely Polanco's domain. Justin Townsend's raw screams pierce through the song, amplifying the anguish and desperation with primal force. Lines like "Catch me now before I break!" and "Save me from myself; I'm falling!" become desperate cries for help, adding a layer of vulnerability and immediacy to the track.

"Trinity" is a powerful testament to the transformative power of music. It's a song that grabs you by the throat and makes you face your demons, but ultimately, it leaves you with a sense of strength and solidarity. This is more than just a song; it's a raw cry for connection and salvation.
